Transforming Diabetic Care Across Australia
It’s estimated that $14 billion is spent annually in Australia on direct and indirect costs, related to diabetic care. Yet the evidence is clear, type 2 diabetes is sustainably reversible.
Diversa Health seeks to change the paradigm of care for type 2 diabetes from simply managing it, to reversal and prevention. Resulting in healthier Australians and less strain on our healthcare services.
Anyone responsible for providing diabetes care can benefit from our services and we aim to partner and support healthcare professionals towards our common goal.
For GPs and Specialists
Our aim is to supplement the care of your patients. We’ll work together with you to apply our low carb nutritional coaching expertise to help your patients become healthier.
As Diversa guides your patients to implement and maintain a safe low carb lifestyle, they will reverse their diabetes and lose weight. As a consequence, nearly every other related condition they have, or are at risk of, becomes easier for you to help them manage.
For Government Entities and Health Funds
The majority of direct diabetes expenses are related to medications, hospitalisations, or further medical complications. Patients bear the physical and emotional burden of their condition, while health funds and government bears the majority of the financial costs.
By operating a fully remote service, Diversa is uniquely positioned to help the most vulnerable Australians, including those located remotely, reverse their diabetes.
We empower patients to make positive lifestyle changes, ultimately resulting in less money being spent on costly medications or hospital stays.

The emotional pain of diabetes is not only felt by the patient, but also by their loved ones, who see first-hand the physical and mental toll it can take.
No doubt you have been a shoulder to lean on for your diabetic parent, partner, family member or friend, who may otherwise feel like they’ve been managing it alone.
Diversa offers the ongoing support they need to make a positive change and start on the life-changing path towards a diabetes-free future. Carers and loved ones can pay for a patient subscription by filling in the patient details in the sign up form.
As seen in
Although there is no universally agreed upon definition for the reversal of type 2 diabetes, Diversa uses HbA1c to assist in defining diabetes and pre-diabetes reversal.
Type 2 diabetes reversal is when a patient who previously had an HbA1c in the diabetic range (>6.4%) returning an HbA1c in the non-diabetic range (<6.4%) (along with the absence of medications used to manage diabetes). Pre-diabetes reversal is when a patient who previously had an HbA1c in the pre-diabetic range (5.7-6.4%) returning an HbA1c to the non pre-diabetic range (less than 5.7%).
It is important to recognise that although not everybody may be able to completely reverse type 2 diabetes, partial reversal, the reduction of medication dosages, along with the simultaneous lowering of HbA1c, will unquestionably achieve a better quality of life and improve health outcomes for those living with type 2 diabetes.
